Focus on the cleanliness
Your dog’s grooming and cleaning routine depend highly on their breed. Dogs with thick fur and long hair, e.g. poodles, need to be taken to the shops to get the hair cuts. Additionally, keeping your dog’s coat clean increases their blood circulation and it makes them healthier. Likewise, cut your dog’s nails after a month or two because bacteria and dirt can accumulate in their paws and cause infections.

My dog is afraid of the brush, do you have any advice?
Thank you for your comment. It is true, a hairbrush is not the most natural thing for a dog. Some dogs just love to be wild in their spirit and fur :)
Try to build positive emotions to the brush. Start with putting it on the ground and a treat on top. When he takes the food, click, and praise. Then do not put the treat on the brush, when he touches or looks into the direction of the brush with his nose, click, and praise. Hold the brush in the air and say touch (practice the exercise level 1 and 2 in the app) and he does, C&T (click and treat). Then touch with the brush on various body parts (no brushing yet) give lots of praise and treats. If he is backing away, you are going too fast. Then take a brush, and touch him with it, gently brushing for a second, praise and reward. Increase the time of contact. Later, brush him for a longer time. Take it slowly, divide this into 4 days. If she is backing away or feeling uncomfortable at any point take a step back. For treats, you can take his normal food. Don’t feed him outside the training and give all the food during Dogo session or this exercise. I hope he will learn to love it :)
