Training Philosophy
Taylor's goal is to foster lifelong trust, learning, and communication between dogs and their people. She uses positive reinforcement dog training methods and teaches the "language" of clicker training.
Services
Taylor offers a variety of services including:
- Puppy Start Right: For puppies ages 2 to 6 months. This program introduces clicker training to both puppy and owners and teaches foundational skills such as giving attention to the handler, offering behavior, responding to a cue, targeting, and self-control.
- Beginner Dog Training Course: For dogs of any age. This curriculum emphasizes foundational skills that create a sound basis for lifelong learning. Dogs will "learn how to learn," and when dogs and their owners master the skills of this curriculum, they can teach and learn new behaviors to handle most situations they encounter with confidence.
- Specialty Services:
- Cooperative Care: Training an animal to not only tolerate handling and husbandry procedures, but to be an active, willing participant in them. This can help dogs become more comfortable with veterinary exams, injections, ear cleaning, pill taking, eye drops, nail care, bathing, brushing, and more.
- Veterinary Happy Handling: Teaching dogs to accept or even want handling for certain medical procedures. This can help dogs with traumatic experiences in the past build a more positive experience with veterinary care.
- Custom Private Training: Taylor customizes each session to address your dog's specific needs and behavioral goals. She can tailor a training plan for fear-based behaviors, anxiety, reactivity, and troubleshoot what is causing your dog to behave a certain way.
- Pet Sitting: Just Say Yes! offers a range of specialized and flexible pet sitting services tailored to your pet's needs. Services include drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding and treats, scoop litter boxes, clean habitats, refresh water, play time, administer medication, vacation visits, and overnight visits.
- Dog Walking: Just Say Yes! offers 45-minute walks or visits for high-energy dogs. They provide poop bags, text updates with photos, and additional training/enrichment games as requested.
