Taylor is a Certified Training Partner through the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior. She has been caring for animals professionally full-time since 2017. Her past work experiences include working in dog kennels, boarding, grooming, animal research, and finally veterinary medicine where she currently works as a Veterinary Assistant. She is a Fear-Free Certified Veterinary Professional and RECOVER CPR certified as well. She is also a member of the IAABC and the Pet Professional Guild.

• Pet Sitting: Just Say Yes! offers a range of specialized and flexible pet sitting services tailored to your pet's needs. Services include drop-in visits, potty breaks, feeding and treats, scoop litter boxes, clean habitats, refresh water, play time, administer medication, vacation visits, and overnight visits.
• Dog Walking: Just Say Yes! offers 45-minute walks or visits for high-energy dogs. They provide poop bags, text updates with photos, and additional training/enrichment games as requested.

Jennifer Cluckey is a dog trainer who wears many hats at Animal Matters. She instructs private training clients, teaches evening group classes, and brings dogs in the pool. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a double major in Biology and Psychology. After completing her college education, she began the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Professional Program where she took multiple trips to Chicago with a client's black lab, Addy. She graduated the program and became a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) in September of 2022. In addition to her formal education, Jenn has volunteered with dogs through various shelters and rescues for 12 years which has given her valuable hands-on experience with a variety of dogs. Prior to joining the Animal Matters staff, she worked for the attached TailWaggers as a group leader and receptionist from 2019 to 2021. Jenn grew up with two yellow labs, Nick & Cady, who she enjoyed taking on hikes and to the lake. She recently welcomed a Brittany puppy, Tony pictured, in August of 2023.

  Description: This is the second Marauder leash I've purchased, and both are absolutely beautiful, well-made, and super helpful with managing my very strong and sometimes reactive dogs. I love the traffic handle which I use as an "emergency brake" when a rabbit or squirrel comes into play. I haven't worried about broken clasps or damage from teeth marks, because for once, I found something that's stronger than my dogs. Also, huge bonus how quickly these dry, and even bigger bonus that they're easily cleaned. Shipping was so fast, and I feel great about supporting this small, local business.

I love having the fixed o ring so I can easily switch from a handled leash to hands free when walking both of my pups. This is our second Collie and Corso leash and nothing else compares. Deborah Lee Schaefer

Deborah Lee Schaefer is the founder of The Well-Mannered Dog, SuperDog Challenge Club and one of Oregon’s first certified professional dog trainers. She has been training professionally since 1987. The idea for The Well-Mannered Dog started when a local veterinarian suggested Debbie’s unique sense of fun while getting dogs to behave would be valued by the committee. With 13 years of experience training and showing dogs, Debbie Schaefer started to offer training classes once a week while raising her kids. The Well-Mannered Dog grew, and in 1993 when certifications for dog trainers became available, Debbie was one of the first dog trainers in Oregon to become certified.

My Alaskan Malamute began training at the Well Mannered Dog in puppy class when he was 8 weeks old and continued his learning in Serious Self Control. Debbie has immense knowledge of dog psychology and emotions, I’ve learned how to prevent and remedy most “problem” situations other large breed dog owners face.
I’m not the most consistent at training and still I’m often complimented by the vet, friends, and strangers about how well behaved my dog is. We’ve covered many real-life situations and solutions and I have found the training and knowledge invaluable.
Debbie gives very clear, concise instruction mixing both lecture and training games in combination with emails and video for home training. When I’ve had problems or concerns with my dog she has been very responsive and available via phone or email.

Just Like Home Pet Sitting and Training offers in-home private consultations and training for behavior problems with a specialty in working with young puppies, separation anxiety, and basic house and public manners.

The trainer provides small semi-private classes, accommodating up to 4 students at a time.

Alexandra Pederson, also known as Alex, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Her journey into dog training began while managing a dog training facility, where she oversaw a team of trainers and up to 36 dogs simultaneously. This experience allowed her to work with hundreds of dogs, gaining insights into various breeds and behaviors while refining her skills. During this time, Alex also tackled her own dog's reactivity and aggression towards people, using positive methods that inspired her to help others achieve similar success. In 2022, after obtaining her CPDT-KA certification, she established Cult of Dogs to assist dog owners in training their dogs.
