Name: Dani
History:
Dani started working with dogs in 2016 and has never looked back. As a lifelong lover of dogs, becoming a dog trainer seemed like a natural choice! She began working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments and backgrounds when she became a social group handler at a busy doggy daycare in the Bay Area. With a predisposition towards working with behavior and a voracious appetite for all things "dog", soon just handling dogs was not enough, and she set her sights on learning everything she could about dog training.
Training Philosophy:
Dani treats every dog and case as an individual. She recognizes that while there are certain "best practices" in training, your dog, your circumstances, and your needs are unique. With that in mind, she will work with you to create a training approach that best fits you and your dog.
Services:
Dani offers a variety of packages to tackle situations and training goals of all types. She can work with you on obedience training your puppy or adult dog, leash walking, addressing anxiety and fear, reactivity, and more! She also offers Drop-Off Day Training in partnership with Schreiber Tails Doggy Day Care in Winston, Oregon. This service includes loving, full-day care for your pup, alternating between daycare and training sessions. Dogs receive a minimum of 1.5 hours of individual focused training time per day, including a half-hour training walk service.
Certifications:
Dani is a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed) certified by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers.
Specializations:
Dani specializes in puppy training, socialization and obedience for adult dogs, as well as complex issues such as reactivity and fear aggression, anxiety, and resource guarding.
Training Methods:
Dani uses reward-based training and a variety of management methods to tackle behavior problems as needed.
