Tricia Casper offers in-home dog training in St. Charles and Warren Counties, MO, as well as online dog training. She addresses basic obedience, puppy issues, problem solving, and behavior modification.
Her training methods include positive reinforcement, using whatever motivates the dog, coupled with negative reward markers to indicate when the behavior is incorrect. Training begins at the client’s home, where the dog will benefit the most. Some issues can be resolved in one session, while others may take several meetings over time. The dog’s training program depends on various factors including temperament, personality, working drive, and the behavioral issues to be resolved. During the first meeting, these factors will be discussed.
Tricia’s goal is to teach clients why their dog behaves as it does, fostering better understanding and communication. Her aim is to strengthen the relationship between the owner and their dog through training. Tricia’s animal career began in 1999 and includes experience in zookeeping, dog daycare, animal safety on film/TV sets, dog walking, pet sitting, shelter work, dog training, dog behavior modification, and dog media. She has been training dogs since 2006, working with various types and breeds. Tricia is a member of APDT and is Fear-Free Certified. She also runs a YouTube channel which can be found at https://youtube.com/channel/UCQnrn_JpugtnNEh09_P0uWA.
