Tracy DeVries
, CTC, is an honors graduate of the Academy for Dog Trainers, often referred to as “the Harvard” of dog training.
She spent two years there studying applied behavior analysis and the science of what dogs do.
For the last several years she has been working with her local rescue, most recently running A New Leash on Life, a dog foster and training program in a women’s correctional facility.
Tracy has had 10 of her own dogs and fostered scores of others.
She has seen it all! In fact, that’s what led her to dog training.
Volunteering for rescue and fostering scores of dogs over the last decade is what led Tracy to this work.
Training Philosophy
At River’s Walk we use only force free training methods without the use of pain, fear or intimidation – so good stuff, without the use of things like shock or prong collars.
Services
River’s Walk offers in person dog training in the Jackson, MS metro area as well as remote consultations.
- Training session rates: $150 per one hour session.
After an initial review of your needs Tracy will provide a recommended number of sessions to get started – this is often, though not always, in the range of 4 – 6 sessions.
