Training Tip:
- Your posture and body language communicate volumes to your dog. Just as you observe his cues, he pays attention to yours.
- Consider the following techniques:
- Stand up when issuing commands to your dog, avoiding a reliance on sitting or squatting for obedience.
- Keep your hands out of your pockets to prevent associating commands solely with the presence of treats.
- Refrain from holding a treat bag during training to encourage consistent obedience regardless of treat visibility.
- Practice commands in various locations, not confining training to a single room, promoting reliable obedience across different environments.
