The Jersey Dog Trainer offers in-home and behavior consultations, specializing in housetraining issues and providing 2-hour puppy consults for puppies aged 8 to 12 weeks.
The trainer also works with shy, fearful, and moderately aggressive dogs. Certifications include the use of clickers and treats, body harnesses, and no-pull harnesses, as well as flat nylon collars. The trainer does not utilize choke chains, prong/pinch collars, or shock collars.
The training philosophy is centered on positive, motivational, reward-based methods, emphasizing ‘Train Without Pain.’ Service locations cover Camden County, Gloucester, Burlington, and Cumberland Counties, including Hammonton and Mays Landing.
Private clients with dog behavior problems, including mild to moderate aggression involving dog/human and dog/dog situations, are accepted. Additionally, private, in-home basic obedience training is available.
The trainer also has experience hosting a weekly talk radio program on a local South Jersey station, WNJC 1360 AM, titled ‘Thursday in the Doghouse.’ Podcasts of the program are accessible on the trainer’s website.
The website includes a list of veterinarians who regularly recommend the services.
