Canine Craze offers education and training to dog owners and trainers through private sessions, classes, our Train & Play┢ program, seminars, workshops, and more. Certifications include ABCDT and KPA-CTP.
The owner specializes in using training equipment such as a six-foot leash, gentle leaders, sensation harnesses, long lines, clickers, buckle collars, and martingale collars. Their training philosophy centers on the relationship between people and their dogs, emphasizing four main principles: relationship, discipline, presence control, and practical work.
Canine Craze serves the Des Moines Metro area, focusing on helping people understand the canine mind and how dogs learn. The Train & Play program is designed to provide proper socialization with other dogs and teach good manners.
Classes are structured with a level system, offering Agility, Obedience, and Puppy programs from beginning to advanced levels, including competition. Canine Craze also hosts educational seminars featuring well-recognized speakers to educate people in the area and the Midwest about dog training and behavior.
Workshops cover various subjects such as obedience, dog park etiquette, agility, and freestyle. Canine Craze also holds annual events, including the Canine Olympics in the spring, where people and their dogs compete for a year’s worth of free agility classes. In the fall, they host the Dog Job Fair, educating pet owners about different recreational sports and activities available for their pets.
