With a focus on in-home training services for basic manners, obedience, and moderate behavior challenges, such as leash reactivity, excessive barking, and house training, 2 Legs 4 Paws aims to inspire and educate clients on the use of science-backed positive reinforcement training.
They believe in teaching sustainable behaviors to dogs using methods that do not cause fear or pain. The mission is to empower clients to use positive reinforcement training, while the vision is to ensure that every canine has the opportunity to learn to live in a human world without intimidation or fear.
Certified in First Aid and CPR through ProPetHero, and holding certifications including CPDT-KA, CCDT, and an MBA, the Owner/Trainer leverages food, toys, and life rewards based on what motivates the dog and the behavior being addressed. 2 Legs 4 Paws uses front clip harnesses and standard 6′ leashes for walking, as well as long leads for recalls.
Their training philosophy is rooted in science-backed modern approaches, using positive reinforcement to motivate dogs and shape new behaviors. They serve Allegheny County, Washington County, and parts of West Virginia, and the Owner/Trainer holds a Master’s Degree in Business from Waynesburg University.
Having transitioned from a corporate career to become a full-time dog trainer, they completed the Masters program through CATCH Canine Academy and now lead 2 Legs 4 Paws in Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, they teach group classes with Animal Friends University and volunteer their time working with adoptable dogs.
Their focus is on modern, science-backed methods that promote effective, fun, and trust-building communication between owners and their dogs.
