Heart n’ Hand Group offers both group and private lessons for companion dogs, including puppy and obedience training. They also provide more advanced and specialized training for those interested in refining their loose leash walking skills or engaging in activities that require impulse control and focused attention, such as agility, field work, tricks, and therapy dog visits.
The trainer, a certified CPDT-KA, AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator, and AKC Temperament Evaluator, follows a gentle approach based on respect, emphasizing positive reinforcement to strengthen the relationship between the owner and dog. Their philosophy is founded on the belief that dogs have much to teach us, and training should reflect this mutual learning experience.
Heart n’ Hand Group serves clients through group classes at Sit n’ Stay Pet Services in Orchard Park, N.Y. and Premier Dog Sports and Event Center in Lancaster, N.Y. They also offer limited private lessons at these locations and can be contacted for information on areas served for home-based private lessons. Additionally, the trainer is an active member of various dog clubs and has personally trained and titled their own dogs in agility, field work, and tricks. They also engage in therapy dog visits with their registered therapy dog.
