Michelle emphasizes the importance of patience in dog training, which is why she named her company after her Border Collie, Patience. Specializing in behavioral issues, obedience, agility, therapy dog training/evaluation, and Canine Good Citizen training/evaluation, she works with a range of behavioral issues including aggression, phobias, separation anxiety, resource guarding, jumping, biting, potty training, in-home and outside destruction, submissive peeing, pulling on the leash, and excessive barking.
Having volunteered for the Rhode Island Urban Search and Rescue team as a K9 handler with her dog Patience from 2004-2011, Michelle is well-versed in search and rescue techniques, including agility, direction and control, obedience, and air scenting. This experience has enabled her to learn a variety of canine sports/jobs and training methods, which she enjoys sharing with pet parents to help them establish new and fun ways to interact with and train their dogs to be the best companions they can be.
