Eager Pup – Positive Training for You and Your Pet Dog offers positive reinforcement-based training for owners and pet dogs of all ages. The classes provided include Basic Obedience & Manners 1-2, Puppy Playgroups, Small Dog Play & Learn, K9 Nose Work®, and Private Lessons.
The service covers Gainesville, Alachua County, and neighboring counties/communities in Florida, such as Starke, Keystone Heights, Melrose, Hawthorne, Interlachen, Trenton, Alachua, High Springs, Newberry, and Chiefland. Group classes are held indoors in Gainesville, while private lessons are available throughout the area.
The owner believes in educating both owners and dogs, promoting a happier coexistence. The training approach focuses on positivity, ensuring a fun and non-threatening learning environment for both owner and dog. Emphasis is placed on teaching the dog desired behaviors, and all human family members are encouraged to participate.
Classes are intentionally kept small, usually with 3-6 students, to provide personalized attention. Additionally, private consultations and training sessions can be scheduled over the phone. The goal is to empower students to successfully train their dogs, addressing everyday issues, obedience, and good manners.
Furthermore, the training prepares students for further specialty training if desired. The owner also offers ‘hot topics’ classes to address specific issues and enjoys organizing Out & About field trips and Games Days to reinforce learned skills and foster a sense of community among dog owners.
