Kudos for Canines offers in-home, motivation-based training methods for companion animals. The owner, a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) and a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI), focuses on creating a positive and enjoyable environment for both two-legged and four-legged family members.
With a commitment to continuing education and professional development, the owner serves Bloomington, Normal, and the Central Illinois community. Utilizing a variety of training equipment, the owner works closely with families to identify the most appropriate solutions for their immediate and long-term training needs. Services include in-home training and consultations, pre-adoption assessments, dog/handler relationship-building, competition advice, and ‘Clicker Mechanics’ training for individuals with varying skill levels.
As a member of several Central Illinois dog training clubs, the owner competes in K9 Nose Work, Rally, Obedience, Agility, and Conformation, with experience also in Tracking, Treibball, and Freestyle. The owner’s expertise in handling reactive dogs led to the implementation of clicker training methods, allowing for significant improvements in the partnerships between dog owners and their companions.
The owner is dedicated to working with families and their animal partners in a fun, relaxed, and positive environment, pursuing ongoing education through travel, webinars, and by hosting nationally known trainers in Central Illinois. This commitment to professional development is reinforced through premium-level membership with KPA, as well as the ongoing educational requirements as a CNWI with NACSW.
