Happy Tails Pet & Obedience Training offers reward-based training for dogs of all ages and skill levels. Whether it’s group or private sessions, from puppy to novice, therapy dog training, or becoming a Delta Evaluator, the focus is on promoting positive behavior.
The program also includes Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training and T.O.W.A.R.D.S. a Happy Dog program. Additionally, there’s a ‘Pets in Sweats’ workout class to keep both pets and owners active.
Certifications include training equipment such as plain collars and leashes, martingales, Gentle Leader Head Collars, and no-pull body harnesses. The training philosophy emphasizes obedience through play, creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment for the dogs.
Happy Tails Pet & Obedience Training operates in Kentucky, specifically in the Louisville Metropolitan area. Family classes are available, and all family members are encouraged to participate.
Group classes are limited to 10 handler/dog teams, with larger classes having an instructor and at least one assistant. Puppy classes cater to puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks and are conducted in accordance with veterinarian recommendations for vaccinations.
The training approach is focused on praise and reward, with no harsh corrections, slip collars (choke chains), or prong collars used during classes.
