With over 15 years of experience as a Dog Trainer and Canine Behavioral Consultant, Gwen has honed her skills in training dogs and educating their owners to create positive, productive, and enjoyable relationships with their pets. Gwen’s early career involvement with dogs began as a kennel assistant at a local veterinary hospital during her teenage years, and she continued to work with dogs as a veterinary technician, kennel manager, training class instructor, and through private in-home sessions.
With over 30 years of experience with and around dogs, Gwen has become an authority in crate training, housebreaking, leash walking, basic obedience, clicker training, and behavior modification. Her extensive background includes raising over 100 puppies, showing and handling dogs in the AKC conformation show ring, teaching Canine Good Citizen classes, and holding a Professional Membership with APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers).
Additionally, Gwen has raised dogs to live as part of ‘The Eden Alternative,’ a nationwide program aimed at improving the lives of older adults lacking close family support.
