Erin Bessey owns and operates Bessey’s Positive Paws, a dog training company located in Maine. The company offers in-person sessions by appointment in a 1100 sq ft building, as well as virtual sessions available nationwide.
Bessey’s Positive Paws promotes family-friendly training methods suitable for children and adults of all ages. Erin aims to integrate modern knowledge with scientifically proven training techniques to establish a safe, positive environment for owners and dogs to learn to coexist harmoniously.
Erin holds a BS in Zoology from the University of Maine and has been a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed since 2011. Prior to her dog training career, she spent 14 years working at a local veterinary clinic. Additionally, Erin has raised three dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her own dogs, her husband and children, at the horse barn, or relaxing in a cozy chair with a book.
