Cooperation Canine is an organization dedicated to promoting the emotional and behavioral well-being of dogs. Their team of behavior and training professionals employs a holistic approach to behavior modification and training, prioritizing the emotional response of pet dogs and educating about their role in behavior.
The founder, a Canine Behavior Technologist, holds certifications as a Fear Free Certified Professional, CPDT-KA, Dip CBST, and CDBC. The team’s training philosophy centers around creating a safe environment for dogs to learn, emphasizing positive reinforcement to build relationships and behavior repertoires. They are committed to helping humans gain a deeper understanding of canine behavior and clear communication through training.
Cooperation Canine serves Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut in person and offers virtual training worldwide. Their approach includes assessing a dog’s complete environment to identify sources of stress, deficits in routines, and opportunities to increase desirable behaviors. Training equipment includes clickers, Freedom Harness, Newtrix Head Harness, and basket muzzles when needed for safety.
The organization’s goal is to create a common vocabulary for successful communication and to help people understand the role of emotion, choosing appropriate responses to their dog’s behaviors, reinforcing healthy, safe, and appropriate behaviors while reducing problem responses.
