Dorothy “Dodie” Slaton operates Pawesome Pet Services in Oregon, providing both in-person and online services tailored to enhance dogs’ overall wellness and training. Her commitment to dog training blossomed during an Enrichment and Training Internship at a local shelter, where she observed numerous dogs surrendered due to behavioral issues arising from unmet needs. As a L.E.G.S. Family Dog Mediator, Dodie addressed these gaps and gained insights to help pets remain in their homes.
Dodie is a Licensed Family Dog Mediator in the Training Division and holds a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed credential from the nationally recognized Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Additionally, she earned a Master’s in Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Online Teaching and Learning.
