Freedom Four Paws Dog Training provides training to rescue groups and shelters, helping dogs transition from shelter or foster home to a permanent home placement. The certifications include the use of a martingale collar or buckle collar, along with a 4ft/6ft lead or long lines [10ft].
The training philosophy focuses on providing rescues and shelters with positive training and education for foster dogs, aiming to facilitate their transition to a forever home. This approach is also extended to public venues during adoption days.
The locations served include Berrien County, Cass County, and Van Buren County in Michigan, as well as specific rescue organizations such as Rosa’s Rescue in Camp Springs, KY, Pug Rescue Network in Farmington Hills, MI (metro Detroit area), and Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue, covering MI, IN, IL & OH.
The training method emphasizes positive reinforcement to build a better relationship between dog and human. Additionally, the program focuses on teaching individuals to read and understand the dog’s body language for more effective communication between dog and human.
