Paws for Companions offers private, in-home training for puppies and adult dogs. Our classes include Puppy Play & Learn, Adolescent Dog Manners, Canine Social Skills & Conditioning Levels 1 and 2, Walking Club, and Reactive Dog Classes.
We are certified to serve locations in Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois. The philosophy behind our training is rooted in the idea that dog training mirrors a dance. The owner leads, and the dog is the partner. This partnership is built on communication and trust. Training establishes the communication (language) between the dog and the family.
Our goal is to help families establish a clear and consistent language with their dogs to create a harmonious living environment. While there’s no ‘easy’ button for dog training, we have found that positive reward-based training is the most effective way to train puppies and adult dogs. We blend operant training techniques and classical conditioning to help dogs learn and respond positively.
All of our private, in-home training programs are tailored to the specific needs and lifestyle of the dogs and their families. Our classes are intentionally kept small to ensure quality time for each dog and owner attending.
