The master’s degree dog training Board & Train program offers thorough owner instruction. This online community/program features a digital format for dog ownership & training. Certifications include training equipment, working with a broad spectrum from puppies to behavior issues in older dogs/rescues.
The approach taken is to use whatever will most benefit the individual dog and situation, with an emphasis on positive reinforcement/reward-based training. No slip chains/choke collars are used. Locations served include Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas for the Board & Train program, private instruction, etc. An online training program is available for all geographical areas.
The approach to training involves evaluating the entire picture of the dog and owner/family as a major component. A relationship-based commitment is offered to clients to help them now and in the future. The trainer has an unusual amount of experience with dogs, as their grandfather was a trainer. Prior to concentrating wholly on training in 1995, the trainer bred, trained, and exhibited champion German Shepherd Dogs for almost two decades.
Having lived through a lifetime of dog involvement, the trainer fully attests that today’s available information on dog behavior and positive training makes every day and every dog an exciting adventure. In 2012, an online training program was initiated with downloads, books, blog, newsletters, and more, always emphasizing owner education.
