Simon’s Hope’s principal dog trainer, a graduate of the Northwest School for Canine Studies, is run by Cristine Dahl, a globally known professional dog trainer and author.
The organization offers free and low-cost training assistance, workshops, and behavior training plans to rescues, shelters, and dog guardians in the greater Willamette Valley.
With certifications in CBCC-KA and designations in CBCC-KA, CCS, FFCP, the trainer’s job title is President.
When it comes to training equipment, they advocate for the use of force-free collars, harnesses, and head halters for adventures.
Their training philosophy is rooted in a fear-free, rewards-based, science-backed approach focused on a whole dog method.
They believe dogs can learn to make brilliant choices and strive to demonstrate how this can be achieved together.
