Training Philosophy
Carrie believes that dog training is all about effective communication with another species.
She enjoys helping out-of-control dogs become polite and cooperative family members and helping shy or fearful dogs grow into more confident and social companions.
She tailors her lessons to the levels of her clients (both canine and human).
Services
Carrie offers private lessons, generally held in the client’s home.
She also offers in-person outdoor sessions and remote online sessions.
She begins with teaching or reviewing basic foundation cues such as Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Leave it, Drop it, and Leash Walking.
She tailors each session to address the specific concerns of the client, their family, and their dog.
Most clients need from one to four sessions to reach their training goals.
She provides email and phone support.
Specializations
Carrie specializes in working with shy and fearful dogs.
She also volunteers at the Humane Society of Westchester and the Farm and Wildlife Center of Green Chimneys school.
