Bob Maida has been providing Puppy & Dog Training/Problem Solving services since 1969. He offers Individual Attention, Rescue Rehab, Foster Guidance, and Videotaped Problem Counseling Sessions in clients’ homes.
Bob’s certifications include CDT (Certified Dog Trainer), and he works as a Trainer/Behavior Counselor. His approach to training involves using the most suitable equipment for both the dog and owner to achieve a positive and harmonious relationship. He believes that there are no bad or ineffective tools, only inappropriate use or misapplication of such.
Bob’s training philosophy is results-oriented and tailored to each dog’s specific temperament, behavior history, environment, and owner capabilities. His first rule is to do no harm, and his second rule is to get the job done without compromising the first rule.
Bob’s services are available in various locations including New York (Yonkers, Westchester County, Putnam County, Orange County, Rockland County, New York City, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island’s North Shore) and New Jersey (Bergen County, Essex County, Hudson County, Passaic County). For areas outside the mentioned locations, availability may be limited depending on the time of year.
Bob is fluent in English and is an IACP Certified Trainer (CDT). He specializes in addressing behavior problems, household manners, social behavior, and basic obedience in the comfort of clients’ homes. Bob understands the importance of addressing these issues where both the owner and their furry friend deal with everyday life.
