K-9 Kids, LLC offers positive behavior training for all dogs and puppies, including shelter dogs. Private lessons provide a structured plan to address unwanted behaviors and cultivate well-mannered pets.
The certifications and designations include APDT-KA. Training equipment includes flat or round buckle collars, Gentle Leader, Easy Walk Harness or similar, and a 6 ft. leash (no chain leashes or Flexi-leads). Very small soft treats are used for training.
The training philosophy revolves around positive reinforcement, aiming to strengthen the bond between owner and dog. The absence of punishment allows the dog to make choices that lead to praise, physical touch, and/or food rewards.
K-9 Kids, LLC serves Polk County, Florida, and the trainer is a C.L.A.S.S. Instructor and Evaluator (APDT-KA) as well as a STAR/CGC Instructor and Evaluator (AKC).
