AnJaneen “AJ” Simenson was born and raised in Montana. She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and graduated with a degree in economics. After spending years feeling unfulfilled working in finance, she began to follow her heart and work with dogs and the people they own.
AJ spent 4 years with a major retailer working as a Certified Pet Trainer. It wasn’t long before she found herself promoted to Certified Area Pet Training Instructor, teaching others how to help pets and their parents. In late 2010, she decided to leave the retail world and open Gold Paw dog training.
Training Philosophy
AJ’s classes focus on problem prevention as well as solutions for existing problem behavior. She loves watching the household transformations when dogs who began as pesky pets convert into valuable, appreciated and enjoyed members of the family.
