Tim Steele, CTC, CSAT, grew up with pets in Orlando, Florida. He dreamed of becoming an attorney but later became passionate about animal training, particularly parrots, for over 30 years. He learned about animal behavior through self-study and later discovered the science behind it through Jean Donaldson's book "The Culture Clash." He completed a two-year course at The Academy for Dog Trainers, earning a Certificate of Training and Counseling (CTC). He continues to attend seminars and workshops by experts in the field and completed a specialized course on Separation Anxiety, becoming a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT).
Training Philosophy
Tim Steele believes in modern, force-free training methods that avoid pain, fear, and intimidation. He emphasizes positive reinforcement techniques using food, praise, play, and petting to encourage desired behaviors. Customer Reviews
- Slater S: “Tim was so great to Winnie and me! He helped us more than I can put into words. He's a true friend of dogs and I can't imagine a better trainer!”
- Diana L and Teddy: “I can't speaking highly enough of Tim's training of dogs (and humans)! It's because of Tim we have a dog as he has been coaching us before we brought home our puppy. Tim truly cares and is very pleasant to work with. Our puppy gets so happy whenever he sees Tim and my kids and I learn a great deal watching Tim train with positive reinforcement. If you're looking for a firm but fun loving and effective trainer of not only dogs but humans as well - you have found one! ”
