She has been training dogs since 1998, and stays current with dog training and behavior science by taking online courses, going to seminars, reading books and the practical application of actually training real live dogs. She has trained Service and Therapy Dogs, is a recognized evaluator for AKC's Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Programs and is certified with Behavior Works LLC, the International Association of Animal Behavior, as an accredited Dog Trainer, the Association of Pet Dog Professionals and a member of the Pet Professional Guild. She has titles in multiple venues of Agility and has competed in Obedience and Rally.
Training Philosophy
Teresa Tuttle values the relationship between a dog and its guardian. She uses scientific, creative, proven, positive techniques to help you manage and understand your canine family. She advocates for fear free and reward based training. She will never use pain or fear to train your dog. With Dogs 'N Action you won't be asked to buy an expensive shock collar or an aversive prong collar. Her methods do not include special tools.
