Tammy J. Hamilton
Tammy J. Hamilton, the founder of Click for Manners, never anticipated becoming a dog trainer. It wasn't until she was seeking a way to live with PTSD that she discovered her passion for it. After receiving a companion dog named Rex from a veterans organization, Tammy was determined to help him overcome his issues. She dove into researching and studying dog training through online courses and YouTube videos, using her military training to help her along the way. Tammy successfully trained Rex as a service dog and then began helping others do the same. She is a proud graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, holding her certification as a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Professional Trainer (KPA-CPT).
“Being a Gulf War veteran has made me intimately familiar with the challenges of living with Chronic Pain and PTSD. My time spent working with rescue dogs taught me a lot about the communication challenges that dogs and their owners face. From this experience, I came to appreciate that dogs are much more than just pets, and I have made it my goal to help owners, handlers, and learners (dogs) live happier lives.
Overall, my passion for dog training and helping others has led me to a fulfilling and rewarding career and a way to give back to my boys who are junior trainers as well. My experience as a Combat Veteran, paired with my love for all things dogs, has allowed me to make a positive impact in the lives of both humans and animals alike”.

We specialize in multi-dog families, so bring the whole pack!
We understand that as a responsible pet owner, it's important to select the right program that makes both you and your dog happy. That's why we encourage you to book a consultation with our Primary trainer, who can help you develop a plan for creating a more harmonious relationship between you and your dog.
We embrace the philosophy of "Feed Forward"
“Use feed-forward in everything you do. Be patient and listen to people. Observe if their talk is congruent with their actions. Don't go back to what just happened (feedback) because you cannot change the past. Try to make the next step easier for them by explaining what you want to see in small steps.
