Shyneice Baker, also known as Shy, has been rescuing and rehabilitating animals since the age of 6. She developed a passion for animal care and training while volunteering at the New Orleans Audubon Nature Institute center, where she observed zookeepers teaching animals specific tasks. This sparked her interest in learning more about animals, leading her to pursue a career in animal care and dog training. She worked at Pets supermarket in Georgia, Animal Atlanta as an animal care expert, and the Atlanta Humane Society as an adoption counselor.
She furthered her education by attending Bauder College for a bachelor's degree in fashion design and business administration, Animal Behavior College to become a veterinarian technician and certified Dog Trainer, and the Animal Behavior Institute for Wildlife Rehabilitation. She also studied Jin Shin Jyutsu animal energy healing and public speaking.
Shy Baker has been running her own dog training company, K-9 Factor LLC, for 6 years, offering a wide range of services including grooming, training, behavior modification, obedience, puppy manners, rehabilitation, confidence building, AKC Canine Good Citizen, group classes, private classes, boarding training, boarding, doggie daycare, free evaluations, health and social walks, and more. She is also a certified AKC CGC tester and a strong advocate for animal rights, particularly for pit bulls.
