Sarah Wykowski
Sarah's interest in animals, especially dogs, began while growing up in Northern Wisconsin, where she spent countless hours with them, inspiring her curiosity and desire for deeper understanding. Her journey into training was sparked by the desire to change how we communicate with and cohabitate with animals. She has worked in many areas of the pet industry, and has a degree in human services as well. Sarah graduated with distinction from the esteemed Professional Trainers Program at the Karen Pryor Academy of Animal Behavior and Training (KPA). In 2021 she earned a certificate of completion as a Raw Dog Food Nutrition Specialist from DNM University. She is also certified in dog first aid and CPR.
Training Philosophy
Sarah uses evidence-based positive reinforcement training methods without corrections or force. Her training focuses on communication between the dogs and their people and functional coping skills to help everyone live more comfortable and fulfilling lives.

- Board & Train
Monday- Friday (weekends available if pet parents are traveling)
This is an excellent opportunity to have your pup receive more personalized training and socialization (for puppies). It will give you a break and can help jump start new behaviors for your pup. We use only positive reinforcement training methods while your pup stays in our loving home, play, train, rest.
Guardians are required to meet for at least one transfer session at pick up.
*Board & Train is not for all behavior modification cases, behavior modification requires the parents to learn how to help their pups cope and to shape their behavior.

All trainers listed here are certified professionals with extensive knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques.
Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog. This humane approach is scientifically proven to be the most effective long-term training method, strengthening the bond between you and your pet. By consistently rewarding good behavior, your dog learns to associate actions with positive outcomes, leading to lasting improvements and a happier companion.
Yes, they are. Our trainers are adept in basic obedience or intricate behavioral challenges. Browse their profiles to identify a trainer who specializes in the particular issues you wish to address.

Group sessions offer a communal setting where your dog learns general obedience alongside other dogs. In contrast, private sessions grant focused attention, making them perfect for targeted behavior modifications or individualized training agendas.
All our trainers are committed to positive reinforcement techniques and steer clear of any harsh or punitive methods. Their primary goal is to make training a joyous journey for you and your dog.
Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.
