Tamara began training animals when she adopted her first rescue, Zena, 30 years ago.
In 2014, Tamara began competing in AKC Obedience and Rally with her standard poodle, Rosy, who due to life circumstances, became her service animal with an additional 2 years of training.
In 2018, Tamara began specifically utilizing Positive Reinforcement (R+) training methods and went on to become a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Professional Dog Trainer (KPACPDT) through intensive study with world-renown dog and chicken(!) training instructor, Terry Ryan. She has since certified as a Fear-Free Professional Trainer and is a member of the IIABC. She is a Puppy Start Right for Instructors graduate and completed her Service Dog Coaching Certification in 2021.
