The training equipment she uses includes leashes, collars, head harness, front harness, regular harness, and long leads. Rhonda's training philosophy is based on positive reinforcement. She understands that every dog is unique and what works for one may not work for another. As such, she adapts to each dog/owner pair as needed.
Rhonda serves the Leavenworth and surrounding area. Having grown up on a farm in Western Kansas, she has always enjoyed dogs. She currently has 3 dogs: Buddy, Angel, and Claire. Her goal is to help people with their dogs through obedience cues and problem-solving.
This is the fourth career for Rhonda York. Previously, she worked as a professional singer, college voice instructor, and an ordained clergy member of the United Methodist Church. She attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO, and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. Additionally, she holds a black belt in Taekwondo. Now she has turned her attention to training dogs and their humans.
Rhonda loves dogs and wants them to have wonderful and forever homes with their people. Through training, dogs learn good manners, and the people learn how to help and manage their canine companions.
