Naomi believes that training should be enjoyable for dog and owner alike. She feels that reward-based training not only enables dog owners to effectively change behavior, but also strengthens the bond they share with their canine companions.

The Familiar Canine offers dog training and behavior consulting services for the pet dog owner in public group classes or individual sessions in the privacy of their home.
- Private Training Sessions: Build basic manners or polish up existing manners in the privacy of your home or at an agreed upon off-site location. Practice the basics, like sit, down, come when called, stay, and more or practice more advanced skills to get ready for the AKC Canine Good Citizen or UKC S.P.O.T. test. Manners sessions can be customized to help you meet your individual training goals.
$120/hr.
5 Session Package $540 - Group Training Walks: Take your dog training on the road. Practice manners where it counts; on the trail and in town.
This drop in class is perfect for social dogs who have completed a basic manners class.
These instructor let walks will help you proof your cues and manners or help you prep for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test or UKC SPOT test. - Training Tutor: Jump start your training with the help of a professional dog trainer.
Naomi will kick start your dogs training by working with your dog one on one. These training sessions are not intended to take the place of you training your dog, but rather to help you meet your training goals when you don't have the time to do it all on your own.
This service includes 4 1 hour training sessions where Naomi works with your dog one on one and 1 transfer training session where you practice what your dog has been learning. Session can occur in your home or at an agreed upon off site location.
Pet parents must be a current client or schedule 1 private manners training session before scheduling a Training Tutor package.
