History
Kennedi grew up in South Dakota and Alaska, and has been surrounded by a variety of animals, wild and domestic. She has a deep appreciation for living things and believes in respecting and caring for them. She has had a host of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and bucket calves. She has also had a hand in rescuing dogs, cats, baby birds, and raccoons. She received her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology in 2016. She has been a Senior Dog Trainer and Mentor for Petco for 3 years and has a vast amount of experience working with dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Training Philosophy
Kennedi is very passionate about her work and cares deeply for animals, large or small, especially dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. She believes in positive reinforcement and provides a safe and caring environment for her clients.
Services
Kennedi offers a variety of services, including:
- Private In-Home Training: Kennedi starts with a consultation (30 minutes to an hour), in which she evaluates your dog's behaviors in your home and creates a custom class that fits you and your dog's needs. The consultation fee is $20 for Fountain Hills residents and $30 for clients living outside of Fountain Hills.
- AKC CGC Classes: Kennedi is a certified AKC CGC Evaluator and provides a variety of different AKC Group Classes that include AKC STAR Puppy, AKC Canine Good Citizen, AKC Urban Canine, AKC Community Canine, and AKC Trick Dog.
Certifications
Kennedi is CPDT-KA Certified, Fear Free Certified, AKC CGC Certified, a Dog Bite Prevention Educator, a Be A Tree Presenter through Doggone Safe, and a Certified Canine Enrichment Technician.

We had a wonderful experience with training! We needed help with our 6lb Havapoo who was ruling the roost. With Kennedi's expertise and guidance, our pup is doing so much better! Kennedi is very knowledgeable and also patient. Her instructions are easy to understand. I am not sure how much my greyhound learned, but I learned quite a bit and will continue to practice with my Rosie. I plan on bringing my other 3 greyhounds in for training. Kennedi understands that sighthounds are a bit different than other breeds and has adjusted her regular trainings to meet their needs. Highly recommend her training for any dog.
Pawsitively the best trainer. Very experienced with the uniqueness of the sighthound breeds and always searching for ways to understand the breed more. My Two greyhounds have graduated and any future ones will be signed up.
Can't recommend Pawsitive Dog Training highly enough! I adopted a new puppy recently and needed some help with some behavioral issues and with basic puppy training. Kennedi was SO helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. She also understands how to work with reactive pups. My dog always has a great time and you can tell she looks forward to the sessions. I've learned a ton from private lessons and I will be taking more group classes soon. If you're on the fence about trying out Pawsitive Dog Training, just do it!

I hired Pawsitive Dog Training to get my dogs to be less reactive when out for a walk. Kennedi was extremely knowledgeable. My dogs took to her immediately. If my dogs saw another dog on the street, they would go Cujo on it. We have progressed to the point that my dogs can now walk the fountain with other dogs around. Sometimes they ignore other dogs, sometimes my training that I received from Kennedi kicks in and the dogs are distracted. We are all happy. Thanks to Kennedi! Mission accomplished!
Learned about Kennedi from one of my neighbors and contacted her to help me train my Carin terrier puppy. My puppy is a typical terrier and is very stubborn and was trying to attack cars during our walks. We can’t thank Kennedi enough for the work she put in with Aurora (and us haha). Aurora is a high anxiety dog and we didn’t know how to approach training while also keeping in mind her condition. Kennedi met Aurora where she was at and was super accommodating every session. When she started, she wasn’t walking, petrified of everything, and couldn’t go to any stores.
