Katherine Barger uses the most scientifically based training methods to get you the results as fast as possible, positive reinforcement. Which means, we focus on what we want the dog to do and make that behavior very fun for you dog so they continue to do that behavior again. We use our brain to prevent the problem behavior from happening again until they have master the skills that we want. We do not use shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains.

Katherine Barger offers a variety of training options to help you reach your goals. These include:
- Private Training: Personalized programs to address specific dog behavior issues, including leash pulling, barking, chewing, biting, and more. Includes full support with a training bag, email and phone support, and lifetime support via a private Facebook group.
- Day Training: 4 weeks of in-home day training lessons, 4 (30 min) hand-off sessions, how-to videos, and 2 months of post-training support. Offers a Puppy Primary Day Training package for puppies 8 weeks to 16 weeks old.
- Group Classes: Small group classes (no more than 8 dogs) with set dates and times. Offers a Bachelor's class for basic obedience, and a Training Club with Bronze, Silver, and Gold level memberships.
- Workshops and Seminars: Dog-free seminars on topics like breaking up a dog fight and canine body language. Workshops for owners to bring their dogs and work with a trainer. Also offers staff training for vet clinics, rescues, and other businesses.
- Virtual Training: Digital consultations, self-paced obedience classes, private coaching, and an online tricks course.
- Board and Train: Packages for puppies and adult dogs, including a Puppy Jump Start program for puppies 6 weeks to 16 weeks old. Other board and train options are available and customized based on the dog's needs.
- Private Lessons: Private lessons for dogs who don't do well in group settings or for those with specific behavior issues. Offers programs for dogs with aggression, fear, and basic to advanced obedience.
Certifications
Katherine Barger is certified through various organizations both internationally and nationally know. Often involving a board review process of our training methods, as well as testing on dog behavior, body language, health, training effectiveness, and much more. These also require us to do continuing education classes to insure that we stay up-to-date with all new science and information.
