Customer Reviews
Amber W.: Awesome training! Very good with my dog and others. Willing to take any type or age. I have a doberman and she's excelled with the training.
Jason B: A great/positive/fun experience for our puppy and us. I could not recommend this place high enough. Inga made great strides outside of class almost immediately. We went for 2 months, very grateful for JoAnn, DiAnn and the rest of her awesome staff.
Roxanne M: Joann is very knowledgeable and great with the dogs. We've learned so much already about how to work with our dog at home. We learn new things to practice each time we attend a class and have seen progress right away.
Stephanie M: I cannot express just how fortunate I am to have found Joann and her excellent training. In 6 sessions of puppy class my 5 mo. old puppy Rico has earned his AKC Star Puppy Award! We have now graduated into OE1 and I'm excited to see how far we can go! Joann is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient. Beyond happy with Pack Leader Behavior and Training and would highly recommend Joann to anyone seeking training.
am: Best dog trainer around. Wonderful atmosphere!
Tanya J: I have been taking my dog, Missy, to Pack Leader Behavior & Training and have worked with Joann for several months. We have absolutely loved the time and attention from such a caring and knowledgeable trainer. Joann's technique uses evidenced based training with reward that is a basic concept in psychology and is extremely effective when used consistently. Joann encourages the bond between the dog and their human for the foundation of training. When we had difficulty in training a certain concept, Joann had alternative methods that helped Missy be successful. Additionally, Joann's knowledge of dog personality and characteristics helped me determine Missy's ability. Obedience training isn't a means to an end but a journey that lasts the lifetime of our furry companions. I will definitely continue our journey with Joann and Pack Leader Behavior and Training. Thank you Joann!
Robin W: First walk of the spring with the dogs yesterday. Usually a total nightmare even with pinch collars. Yesterday was a complete and utter shock. I was AMAZED at how Via heeled perfectly and no pulling whatsoever on a flat collar! This never happens with a Berner, they are bred to pull. Because of how we started our training with you, this different approach is a game changer! Thank you!. Soooooooo happy!!!!
We've got the answers for your questions
Seriously, if you have any questions about training your dog, we have the answers.
We have created a directory of licensed dog trainers specializing in positive reinforcement methods. These trainers are not affiliated with Dogo, and all information is gathered from publicly available sources. Each profile provides a brief overview of the trainer's experience and expertise.
Start by evaluating your dog's needs and identifying your training objectives. Each trainer's profile provides insights into their areas of expertise. Match these with your dog's character and your goals to find the ideal fit.
All trainers listed here are certified professionals with extensive knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques.
Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog. This humane approach is scientifically proven to be the most effective long-term training method, strengthening the bond between you and your pet. By consistently rewarding good behavior, your dog learns to associate actions with positive outcomes, leading to lasting improvements and a happier companion.
Yes, they are. Our trainers are adept in basic obedience or intricate behavioral challenges. Browse their profiles to identify a trainer who specializes in the particular issues you wish to address.
Simply click on the preferred trainer's profile to access their contact details. From there, you can get in touch to discuss your requirements and set up training appointments.
Group sessions offer a communal setting where your dog learns general obedience alongside other dogs. In contrast, private sessions grant focused attention, making them perfect for targeted behavior modifications or individualized training agendas.
All our trainers are committed to positive reinforcement techniques and steer clear of any harsh or punitive methods. Their primary goal is to make training a joyous journey for you and your dog.
Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.
Reach out to the trainer you're interested in to discuss possibly attending a session. It's a great way to get a feel for their approach and see if it aligns with your expectations.
