Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp
Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp is a training program and philosophy created in 2014 for puppies, adolescent and young adult dogs. The founder, Penny, left the corporate world to become a caregiver for her father. After his passing in late 2019, she wanted to focus her “caregiver” efforts in another direction. That’s when Milo’s Paws For A Cause was born!
Training Philosophy
Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp believes in reward based, positive training only. The goal is to work on each individual puppy’s strengths and help them work through any weaknesses.

Customer Reviews
“Penny, we need to thank you for Murphy. Your temperament testing and training made sure that we were able to get the dog we needed. And, boy, did we need him. Murphy is wonderful. He is playful and smart. We have taken him to 2 different daycare facilities and everyone loves him. They
Even come out to hug him goodbye when I pick him up. Everyone loves him. But no one loves him more than we do. He is a bright light in our old lives. We go to training classes not because he needs them but because we need them. The trainer keeps saying , “why is he here?” We need to explain that the humans are there to learn. He already knows what to do. Saying all this just know he is not perfect. He can catch birds out of midair. Yuck. I had to go to cut up hot dogs to get him to “drop it.” He is sweet, gets along with all dogs, and outgoing. ThankYouThankYouThankYou for helping us with the perfect fur friend” from Murphy’s owners in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.
We are so glad we sent our Duke (AKA DUKEVEGAS) to Milo’s PBC! We love how Penny was and still is there to answer any of our questions! We were able to watch Duke develop, grow and learn as his 9 weeks with Penny went by. He came to us potty trained, crate trained, leash trained and able to do various commands such as sit, down, place and many others. He is the most socialized and well trained pup I have ever seen and everyone comments on how well behaved he is. Duke is on his way to becoming a therapy dog and his next trainer here in Las Vegas was so impressed when I brought Duke in for his consultation, he told me who ever bred and trained this dog was doing all the right things! I am forever grateful for the love and commitment you gave to Duke during his stay with you and I look forward to sharing his progress with you because I know you truly care about the pups that come through your home for a short period of their lives but the training will last throughout their lives! We love you Penny, Milo and Cooper!”

We have to thank you all for the sweetest most loving puppy ever!
Hendricks has been a joy since we got him.
Audrey, you provided a foundation of routine, understanding, education and great practices that has made it so incredibly positive for us!
Being first time puppy parents, we wanted to do it, to respect this sweet animal and provide a great life! The transition from Audrey and her support has made it fathomable! We have followed all her advice, set up and training! Crate training is going so well!!! I would recommend Audrey to everyone!!
Many thanks to you all for what each of you do with great respect for these sweet animals!
It has been a busy few days ... but we will get pictures up on FB and share our delight! Can’t wait to take our Christmas picture! 😄❤️”

Our little man Tucker Finn was with Penny for 6 weeks. He sure gave her a run for her money with the potty training and sleeping, but she did a fabulous job with him. She works with and loves these puppies like they are her own. He came to us at 14 weeks and he was so well behaved. Everyone that has met him has commented on what a chill puppy he is. It’s because he learned manners at boot camp! Penny is fabulous and I would recommend her training to anyone with a new puppy. We had a puppy before so it’s not our first rodeo but it has been a long time since we were in the puppy stage. We joke that we forgot everything! Not only does Penny talk to you throughout the time she has your puppy, but she sends you texts and videos and posts along the way so you can see how well they are doing. Then after you pick up your puppy, she is still there! Penny is our phone a friend puppy guru and she is always willing to help you. Such exceptional service and we know Penny will be in our lives forever. She loves Tucker just as much as we do! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for starting our little man off so well. 5 Stars from The Tempest Family”

All I can say is, Penny is amazing! Calvin, at only 4 months, is the best trained dog we’ve owned thanks to Penny. Not only that, she brought him to visit while he was still in boot camp. We couldn’t be happier! ”

Fell in love with Penny the first time I talked to her. She helped take me through the registration, puppy selection, training and preparing to receive my new puppy. Puppies are trained in an extremely clean home environment, not a kennel. I expect we will be talking for a long time to come ”

Maverick spent 6 weeks with Penny, Milo and Cooper, and we can’t say enough good things about the experience. Daily pictures, video updates, and texts kept us connected during his boot camp, and her insight through the process was invaluable in getting to know Maverick’s personality. Penny’s training methods are top notch, and she delivered (yes, drove to my home with little Maverick in tow!) a puppy that was well socialized, crate trained, house broken, responding to commands, and ready to join our crew. She spent two hours getting me up to speed, and has been a wealth of information, help and support. Maverick is our third dog in 20 years, and we haven’t had a better transition from breeder to home.”

We decided to add a sheepadoodle puppy to our family this year and the best decision we made to ensure a successful transition for all of us was to send Tripp to Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp. Penny and her trusted pups Milo and Cooper did an unbelievably impressive job of training our puppy in the 6 weeks he was at camp. When we picked up Tripp he was potty trained, crate trained, knew his commands, socialized, could travel in the car easily and be out in public on a leash and sleep through the night. He joined our son’s baseball games on day 2 and we received many compliments about how well behaved and friendly he was while watching the children play. We initially signed up for 8 weeks but Penny is so attentive that she shared that Tripp had mastered what we had hoped he would learn and if we were comfortable, we could consider taking him home early. We did and sure enough, Penny was right and Tripp was ready to join our home. Most importantly, Penny exceeds all levels of customer service. Our pup arrived from the breeder with girardia and a runny eye. She nursed him back to health, took care of his vet visits and medications and provided daily video updates and narratives. She continues to field questions and inquire about Tripp and we share updates as well as Penny is an important person in Tripp’s life and ours as well. Milo’s was the best decision we made once we decided to have a puppy join our family. You should do the same to start off right. ”

It is not an exaggeration to say that without Penny Wilson and Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp, I would not have been able to bring home my puppies. They arrived crate-trained, housebroken, socialized, calm, and on a schedule. Penny has a gift! She helped me pick out both of my puppies and has been responsive to every question and request. I recommend her without reservation! Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp is the most important investment I have made since adopting my dogs.

I’d recommend Milo’s to anyone and everyone. The level of training our sweet puppy received is unparalleled. Penny not only helped me choose the breed, but she chose the puppy for me based on temperament at 4 weeks. Our puppy spent 12 weeks at Milo’s and we couldn’t be happier. She’s a perfect fit. We take her everywhere. She’s great with my 3 kids - 19 months, 3 years and 15 years. She’s fantastic in my medical office. Everyone comments on how well behaved she is. We’ve had dogs before and tried many, many training strategies. This is the winning program. Thank you Milo’s. ”

I can’t express enough how much we LOVE Penny and Milo’s Puppy Boot Camp. We are new dog owners. She not only trained our sweet Harper, but helped “train” us to dog ownership! Harper transitioned so well into our crazy busy household and this was all with Penny’s expertise. I highly recommend her program. ”

Brinkley spent 8 weeks with Penny, Milo, and Cooper. We have been so impressed with Brinkley’s training. He came home potty trained (any accidents have been our fault), crate trained, slept through the night from day one, and had experience walking with a harness and leash. The instructions Penny sent home are invaluable! Brinkley will “pee pee” and “poo poo” on demand. We know his potty schedule but he truly will potty when asked when we are changing our routine. It is astonishing! My husband and I are blown away with his command of certain words. He will sit, lie down, and shake when asked. He does expect a treat of course, but these commands are so important when I am walking him. I have called Penny several times since our pick up and she has been so sweet and kind in answering all of my questions. We feel incredibly blessed to have had Brinkley work with Penny. It made our lives so much easier when he came home.”
