Hannah Buckner
Hannah's love for dogs has been apparent all through her life. With her passion for learning about dog behavior and training, she took her education and knowledge further by gaining a degree in Zoology with an emphasis in animal behavior from Tennessee Technological University.
During her time at TTU, Hannah founded “The SAVE US Club,” a club that focused on addressing medical and behavioral needs of shelter dogs to make them more adoptable. Hannah also was awarded multiple grants for research pertaining to shelter dogs and developing them as possible candidates for service work. She selected and began further training on a beagle mix named Peanut Parker in peanut detection training for patients with peanut allergies. For her research, Hannah was awarded the Excellence in Creative Inquiry at the 2019 Tennessee Tech Research Day, and was awarded a Team Research Grant to continue the research project regarding shelter dog candidates. Hannah and her partner also participated in Eagle Works at Tennessee Tech, where they were involved in developing prototypes for new dog training products. Hannah’s work with shelter dogs and the SAVE US Club also earned her the “Wings of Kindness” award in 2020.
Training Philosophy
Hannah believes that every dog is unique, and she strives to work with the dog in a way that will help them excel, whether that be in basic obedience, advanced obedience, sport training, scent detection, or protection work. Hannah loves to not only work with the dog, but also the owners to build clear communication with their dog.

Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog.
