Bark n’ Roll offers more than just canine care, daycare, and training. It provides an opportunity for dogs to become their best selves—mind, body, and soul.
The mission at Bark n’ Roll is to foster the connection between humans and dogs, honoring each individual's unique experience through the power of choice. Using positive, reward-based training methods, species and breed-specific enrichment opportunities, and nurturing social interactions, dogs can realize their full potential and learn to coexist harmoniously.
Francine Coughlin, a certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA) and behavior consultant (IAABC), is the driving force behind Bark n’ Roll. A Massachusetts native, she is also a proud mother of rescue pups Teeny (passed on), Nelly, Finnegan, Bettie, Sugar, special needs pup Stewie, Squiggy, Mickey Finn, and Pinky, along with her lovely human daughter, Ophelia.
As an ABC-certified dog trainer (Honors Graduate), Associate Certified Behavior Consultant (IABC), Certified Cooperative Paws Service Dog Training Coach, and an American Kennel Club (AKC) Certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator, Francine ensures that Bark n’ Roll maintains a high standard of care. Moreover, she is the Founder and President of BnR’s Rock n’ Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization.
Having lived in Los Angeles for five years and worked in the film industry, Francine discovered her passion for volunteering at various dog rescue organizations and shelters. This experience inspired her to establish Bark n’ Roll in 2010 upon returning to the East Coast. Her goal was to integrate her love for canines into a service that brings a touch of free-spirited and friendly fun into clients’ daily routines by getting to know their dogs and offering them exceptional care.
Specializing in behavioral modification training, Francine works with even the most challenging of pups, who are often misunderstood by their humans. Her dedication has been recognized through various accolades, including the 2020 Commonwealth Heroine Award and her role as Past President of the Reading North Reading Chamber of Commerce.
