Christy Parker
Christy has been professionally working with dogs for nearly a decade. She was working as a Professional Figure Skater traveling the world for many years. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, she decided to settle down in Florida when she accepted a figure skating contract at Busch Gardens. During this time, she began studying animal behavior in her spare time and hasn't stopped learning since.
Her passion for animals has existed since the day she was born. She believes she was put on this Earth to help animals; specifically, teaching dogs and their families how to build a strong bond through training.
She went on to start working in a dog shelter where she discovered a profound love for rescue. Christy got hands-on experience rehabilitating, training, and fostering a wide variety of breeds, as well as those exhibiting fear, aggression, anxiety, and reactivity.
Christy is an active volunteer for multiple different rescues such as Husky Haven of Florida where she assists in fostering, transporting, and performing behavior assessments on dogs entering the rescues. She is also on the behavior team at Owl's Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife where she trains a fox, owls, a swallow-tailed kite, and works with many other species.
Training Philosophy
Christy's approach to dog training revolves around ethical, effective, and welfare based methods. She works to modify behavior by addressing the underlying emotional state of your dog while focusing on building an understanding relationship to become the team you have always dreamed of.

She is on a mission to make training effective and enjoyable for dogs and their handlers.
She is captivated by behavior and learning, and passionate about bringing innovative, science-based solutions to the dog/human relationship.

Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog.
