Brynn L. Gibbs
Brynn has loved animals all her life and has always had a special connection with dogs. She got involved with Canine Companions for Independence, as a volunteer puppy raiser for service dogs in 2010. She raised puppies from 8 weeks old until they were a year old, teaching them 30 commands and socializing them until they went to advanced training to learn specialized skills. She also volunteered with other service dog programs, training rescue dogs for soldiers with PTSD and diabetic alert dogs for kids. In 2017 she started working as an assistant trainer at a daycare and boarding facility, moving up to a trainer position when she got her CPDT-KA certification in 2018. Over her time there she worked with hundreds of dogs. She taught a broad range of classes, from basic obedience to specialized classes that included agility, nose work, competition obedience (called rally), learning using fun and games, off-leash training and Canine Good Citizens classes. She also did private one-on-one trainings with owners and dogs both on and off property. She did behavioral assessments for aggression and worked to rehabilitate dogs with bite histories.
Training Philosophy
Brynn's training utilizes positive reward systems, which help to deepen the bond between owners and their pets. She believes that dogs communicate in a different way than we do, but there is so much we can do to understand them and build a great relationship with them. She believes that if you pay attention, your dog will tell you everything you need to know about how they feel, what they want and what they need to be happy and secure.

Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.
