History
Brittany has always had a strong love of animals, which she fostered from an early age with her participation in horseback riding, as well as her volunteer work at the humane society.
After graduating high school, Brittany went to UW Madison to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. Dog training wasn't a popular career option at the time, so veterinary medicine was the career recommended if you wanted to work with animals. After a few years at UW Madison, Brittany realized veterinary medicine wasn't her passion.
She moved back home to help her parents open their horse farm. While working on the horse farm, she was hired at Petsmart to work as a dog trainer. It was there that she realized her passion was in the learning aspect of animals versus the medical.
She enrolled in Carroll University and graduated in 2017 with her bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior. She became a certified dog trainer in April 2017 through the Certification of Professional Dog Trainers, and she earned her behavior consultant certification in August 2017 through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. In 2020 she became a member of Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin.
In her spare time, Brittany travels and competes in agility and disc with two of her dogs, Ginny and Pink. Her other two dogs, Arya and Clay, enjoy time at home learning new tricks and cuddling up on the couch.

Customer Reviews
-Milo: A great trainer who gave us the tools necessary.
-Frankie: I am so happy I was able to connect with Brittany. I bought an older dog (she is 3) from a breeder, and she was supposedly trained, while she was sweet and has superchill temperament, I could not get her to listen at all. After just 3 sessions with Brittany, I was taught to communicate to my dog in a way she understands-we are now on the same page and having a great time together. I highly recommend!
-Baxter: Brittany is great and is really able to teach the dogs to listen and respond in a very positive way. Brittany has very easy to use step- by-step instructions for training. This allowed me to easily practice with my dog on my own in the same manner that she taught. My response rate with my dog was quick. Her one-on-one training allowed me to specify areas that I wanted to focus on with my dog. This is something that cannot be easily done in a group session. It's very flexible in regards to time. Brittany worked well with my schedule and was always good to work with. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the one-on-one training.
-Hank: Brittany is very professional and we appreciate her suggestions. Our dog Hank is a boxer mix and he's reactive to other dogs when leashed, barks at anything going past our window, the doorbell, and is anxious when company comes over. We've been using her suggestions for over a month now and have seen improvement on our walks and at home. We also appreciate her checking in periodically to see how things are going. She gave us videos to watch as well which is always helpful. Our experience with Brittany has been great and we highly recommend her!
-Phoebe: We completed 6 weeks of puppy training with Brittany Rose- she is fantastic! She is so good at what she does! Our pup gravitates to her because of her wonderful demeanor and personality. Every class is tailored to your specific needs. She truly listens and gets to know your pup so well. She doesn't make you feel inferior for falling behind or if your pup isn't getting it. Our pup has made great progress in such a short time! She offers easy to follow and practical solutions, but all things we just don't think of as new puppy owners! She also offers lots of resources and solutions and makes the class fun for all participants. Our child participated too in training classes so Brittany makes it family friendly and everyone stays engaged. I don't know how she does it! Amazing!
We are so impressed we enrolled in the next level class!
-Talia: Brittany is just an incredible trainer. Her love of animals shows above all. Very knowledgeable in animal obedience and her willing to do in house training was just great, working with us in our environment with our dog.

We've got the answers for your questions

Who are the dog trainers listed on this page?

We have created a directory of licensed dog trainers specializing in positive reinforcement methods. These trainers are not affiliated with Dogo, and all information is gathered from publicly available sources. Each profile provides a brief overview of the trainer's experience and expertise.

How can I select the right trainer for my dog?

Start by evaluating your dog's needs and identifying your training objectives. Each trainer's profile provides insights into their areas of expertise. Match these with your dog's character and your goals to find the ideal fit.

How do I ensure these trainers are competent?

All trainers listed here are certified professionals with extensive knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques.

Why is positive reinforcement emphasized, and what is it?

Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog. This humane approach is scientifically proven to be the most effective long-term training method, strengthening the bond between you and your pet. By consistently rewarding good behavior, your dog learns to associate actions with positive outcomes, leading to lasting improvements and a happier companion.

Are these trainers equipped to address specific behavioral problems?

Yes, they are. Our trainers are adept in basic obedience or intricate behavioral challenges. Browse their profiles to identify a trainer who specializes in the particular issues you wish to address.

How do I initiate a training program with a trainer?

Simply click on the preferred trainer's profile to access their contact details. From there, you can get in touch to discuss your requirements and set up training appointments.

How do group sessions differ from private ones?

Group sessions offer a communal setting where your dog learns general obedience alongside other dogs. In contrast, private sessions grant focused attention, making them perfect for targeted behavior modifications or individualized training agendas.

Which training techniques do these trainers abstain from?

All our trainers are committed to positive reinforcement techniques and steer clear of any harsh or punitive methods. Their primary goal is to make training a joyous journey for you and your dog.

When can I expect to see results using positive reinforcement training?

Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.

Can I attend a training session to observe before committing?

Reach out to the trainer you're interested in to discuss possibly attending a session. It's a great way to get a feel for their approach and see if it aligns with your expectations.
