Training Philosophy
East Valley K9 Services strives to help you understand the why’s and the how’s. This educational aspect of training is so important to creating a harmonious home life between owners and their dogs by being strong, confident handlers. Every family is different and all dogs have their own personalities and learn at their own pace. We use positive reinforcement and play-based learning techniques combined with a situational awareness approach. Dogs need the distractions to train their responses to them. Our mission is to create forever relationships! The relationship you have with your dog and the relationship you have with us.

East Valley K9 Services offers a variety of dog training services including group classes, private sessions, therapy dog training, boarding, and daycare. They also offer specialty training such as scent work foundations and agility for fun. They have a puppy starter camp and a skills and manners camp. They also offer board-to-train programs. They also offer in-home training and evaluation sessions.

Customer Reviews

  • Great place to train your dog. Great facilities and personnel.
  • I am so excited for my puppy to learn and grow with his new friends!
  • Best bang for the buck, certainly don't need to pay 2k for dog training. This place is proof.
  • Love working with Brandy and the team, more importantly so do our dogs. Saturday morning workouts... on the agility course help them learn new skills and gain confidence and practice their social butterfly skills. This is a safe environment with caring people. Also a good way to meet like minded dog owners.
  • We enrolled our precious Harlow at just over 3 months in Puppy Camp. The training was sleepover... camp during the week and she came home for the weekends so that we could practice what she had learned. She loved going back each Monday almost as much as she did coming home. Brandy and all of the trainers made her feel at home and loved. Each weekend we could see the progress she'd made during the week. The trainers made sure we were supplied with instruction on what to work on over the weekends and we got updates on her during the week as well. She learned to like her kennel, eat when the food was put down while waiting until it was prepared and told it was OK. (impulse control). She knows to potty outside when first taken out. She has learned the commands sit, stay, down, off, on, come. She is now just barely 5 months old and still a baby; she has infrequent accidents and occasional behavior hiccups but WE are still learning and she is. Like any training and learning it is continuous. We still need to be diligent with ongoing training just as you would be with a child.I HIGHLY recommend East Valley K9 Services LLC. You will not be disappointed.
  • Brandy and Wren are just awesome. They are kind, patient and have so much knowledge about training... dogs. I brought my six-year-old yorkie and they proved you can teach an old dog new tricks! I highly recommend East Vally K9 Services!
  • We just love East Valley K9 services. We started out with boarding, where our border collie... Princess fell in love with Brandy and her family. They have a great ability to help her calm her anxiety and enjoy herself while away from home. We have taken obedience classes and the Move on Classes with them. We are currently doing agility with them and we and Princess have so much fun. East Valley K9 is professional yet provides that extra touch of love and joy!

We've got the answers for your questions

Who are the dog trainers listed on this page?

We have created a directory of licensed dog trainers specializing in positive reinforcement methods. These trainers are not affiliated with Dogo, and all information is gathered from publicly available sources. Each profile provides a brief overview of the trainer's experience and expertise.

How can I select the right trainer for my dog?

Start by evaluating your dog's needs and identifying your training objectives. Each trainer's profile provides insights into their areas of expertise. Match these with your dog's character and your goals to find the ideal fit.

How do I ensure these trainers are competent?

All trainers listed here are certified professionals with extensive knowledge of positive reinforcement techniques.

Why is positive reinforcement emphasized, and what is it?

Positive reinforcement centers on rewarding preferred behaviors, ensuring a pleasant learning journey for your dog. This humane approach is scientifically proven to be the most effective long-term training method, strengthening the bond between you and your pet. By consistently rewarding good behavior, your dog learns to associate actions with positive outcomes, leading to lasting improvements and a happier companion.

Are these trainers equipped to address specific behavioral problems?

Yes, they are. Our trainers are adept in basic obedience or intricate behavioral challenges. Browse their profiles to identify a trainer who specializes in the particular issues you wish to address.

How do I initiate a training program with a trainer?

Simply click on the preferred trainer's profile to access their contact details. From there, you can get in touch to discuss your requirements and set up training appointments.

How do group sessions differ from private ones?

Group sessions offer a communal setting where your dog learns general obedience alongside other dogs. In contrast, private sessions grant focused attention, making them perfect for targeted behavior modifications or individualized training agendas.

Which training techniques do these trainers abstain from?

All our trainers are committed to positive reinforcement techniques and steer clear of any harsh or punitive methods. Their primary goal is to make training a joyous journey for you and your dog.

When can I expect to see results using positive reinforcement training?

Results depend on factors like your dog's nature, the specific behaviors in question, and your training consistency. While many clients observe improvements in just a few sessions, it's crucial to be patient and persistent.

Can I attend a training session to observe before committing?

Reach out to the trainer you're interested in to discuss possibly attending a session. It's a great way to get a feel for their approach and see if it aligns with your expectations.
