Customer Reviews
“I found Anthony after searching for a positive trainer for my boxer mix who is aggressive towards dogs. He took his time to observe what was going on and help develop a plan that works for me. He has been supportive every step of the way. I have noticed a huge improvement in her behavior overall. I am so grateful to be working with him.”
“Our dogs have some behavior and aggression issues and our veterinary behaviorist highly recommended Anthony and they were right. He took the time to really understand our dogs and our issues, and gives us very helpful approaches and tools to help our dogs behave better. I wish we had called him earlier!”

“As a family we were in desperate need of help for Hudson. We had trainers, worked with our vet and even went to a behavior vet for meds. Anthony came into our home to assess. We can’t thank Anthony enough for his time and patience with us and of course with Hudson.”
Cindy C.
“Our dog, a two year old rescue, was exhibiting signs of leash aggression, as well as issues with strangers and other dogs. We were all immediately comfortable with Anthony, who took the time to understand our situation and to discuss our expectations for training. We began to notice a reduction in our dog’s leash aggression within the first few sessions.”
Maxwell N.
“I can’t say enough good things about how Anthony has helped our very fearful and neurologically compromised foster dog, and us. Her behavioral issues are complex and Anthony has addressed each and every one of them in a knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful and methodical manner. I have learned so much from him.”
“Anthony came highly recommended from a veterinary behaviorist in New York City. I have a young, out of control labradoodle with debilitating separation anxiety. When I got her, I was no longer able to go out for errands, dinner, or even go to work because she would bark constantly for 12 hours straight if I let her. Anthony gave us our lives back!”
Katie A.
“Force free behavior modification was the only method recommended to us by our Vet as well as the rescue organization that we got Luna from. Anthony is exceptional! He is very professional, compassionate, patient and a wonderful teacher. Needless to say, we highly recommend him!”
Susan S.
“Cannot recommend highly enough. One of our dogs struggles with reactivity, particularly on leash. Working with Anthony has helped us gain a better understanding of our boy’s triggers, how to manage them, and dig deeper into possible causes. Anthony’s expertise and professional training are what attracted us to him. When you work with him, you’re getting much more than a dog trainer. 12/10 recommend!”
“I was referred to Anthony by another trainer for aggression and reactivity in my rescue puppy. Since working with him my dog has made tremendous progress. I highly recommend him to anyone with a dog with behavior problems!”
Sharyn S.
“Without a doubt I would recommend Anthony and De Marinis Dog Training and & Behavior. I have worked with Anthony for our reactive dog (towards other dogs). Anthony has a very calming demeanor that makes an anxious dog owner feel at ease. And he is very easy to talk with and would allow me to video him so that I could go back and review everything we covered in our lesson. I highly recommend Anthony!”
Allen P.
“I was referred to Anthony by a friend. I have had many experiences with other trainers, but Anthony has really brought something different to the table. He is compassionate, patient and loving. My dog, Cali, absolutely loved him. Training was fun with Anthony. Anthony tailored the training to all our needs. We really loved working with him.”
“My family and I have been working with Anthony on training our dog Bradley. We have seen outstanding results with his techniques. Anthony is an exceptional trainer and is extremely well informed and up to date on the latest dog training methods.”
Howard B.
“I had taken 16 weeks of puppy training and had a private trainer several times before I found Anthony. He is amazing. He noticed immediately what we were doing wrong walking Teddy. Teddy was anxious of loud trucks, bicycles and some other dogs. I can’t thank Anthony enough. I have a happier dog and now we all love our walks!”
“I was referred to Anthony before I purchased my puppy. This was my first puppy I ever owned. He helped me organize what I needed to do to prepare for my pup by providing detailed lists of the essentials as well as reading material on training. Anthony is totally engaged in his relationship with both me and my dog. I highly recommend him.”
Robin M.

Anthony is trustworthy and super knowledgeable. He is a wonderful teacher who takes the time to work with our puppy and to teach us (her parents) simultaneously. He is really amazing.”

“We are so happy we found Anthony online since he specializes in dog aggression and reactivity. He was patient and extremely thorough with our evaluation. He went above and beyond to help us through our virtual training sessions, and he still continues to check in with us. We have a great plan of action now that my husband and I feel really confident executing with Anthony’s guidance.”
“Having attended a Victoria Stilwell seminar and being an advocate for positive training, I turned to Anthony for help with a greyhound NJGAP placed. She is exhibiting some fear based behaviors and has anxiety. We had our initial consultation(virtually) which lasted over 90 minutes via Zoom. Anthony was thorough, explained behaviors and their basis, guided us through training and overall put the adoptive home at ease & gave them confidence. I highly recommend Anthony.”

“Adopting a puppy in Covid-19 times was difficult enough, but when our new puppy, exhibited difficult to manage behaviors. It was more distressing. In home training were not options, but after a lot of research, we found Anthony. Using our home computer, we brought him “into” our home. His easy going, confidence building manner has taught us how to handle our puppy and his behavior concerns properly.”

“Anthony supported us in navigating every option and weighing every consideration around the most difficult decision we had to ever make about our dog. He provided incredible expertise, empathized based on his own experiences, and gave us hope when we were otherwise hopeless and exasperated.
