Ann's journey with dog training began in 2004 when she started as a volunteer puppy raiser at Heal Cove Dog Training. Over time, she transitioned into mentoring other raisers and eventually found herself working as a Puppy Program Regional Manager at Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
In this role, she evaluated eight-week-old puppies for their temperament and confidence, essential qualities for guide dog work, while also teaching group classes for volunteer raisers. Even after leaving Guiding Eyes, Ann continues to assist with the pups being raised in Maine.
Beyond her professional work, Ann takes pleasure in helping owners cultivate wonderful canine companions, emphasizing the importance of having a dog that is enjoyable to be with and comfortable in various situations. She finds joy in observing the developing bond between owners and their pups.
Ann holds the certifications CPDT-KA and AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. Her training philosophy revolves around building relationships to ensure the happiness of both dogs and owners. Currently, she serves midcoast Maine, covering the area from Woolwich to Nobleboro along US Route 1.
