Judy Gamet
Judy Gamet holds a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education from Western Michigan University. She started her career by creating Motion Dynamics, a dance and aerobics business in Northern California. She authored “The Theory of Motion Dynamics as it applies to Biophysics©” and developed a curriculum of aerobic dance for grades K-12 called “Motion Dynamics in the Schools”.
Judy has been a Rottweiler owner for over twenty years and began studying obedience training and various dog sports. She was inspired to apply her dance teaching skills to her dogs, but a car accident nearly destroyed her ability to teach dance or perform.
After losing her elderly Rottweilers, Judy adopted Bella, an obese Rottweiler with hip dysplasia and an artificial hip. Bella, surprisingly, wanted to dance, and Judy, with her experience in reconditioning human bodies through dance, decided to do the same for Bella. This is how Dogs Can Dance™ was born.
Bella continued to be Judy's dance partner until she passed away at age 14. Judy continues her coaching worldwide through workshops, instructional manuals, and the Dogs Can Dance Challenge®.
Training Philosophy

Customer Reviews
The website includes a testimonial from Linda, an online student in Israel, who praises Judy's coaching and her ability to help her develop a strong foundation in freestyle.
“As one of the few people interested in freestyle in Israel, I have been dabbling in the sport for about a year but found it hard to feel that I had the foundation training to feel confident enough to work up a routine. While I had bought Judy’s books a while back, there is nothing like a course with a framework, homework and personal coaching to manage what months of dabbling can’t accomplish. Judy has pointed out things that need improving, and also given me encouragement to look at my relationship with my dog in a new light and to honor and enjoy my dog and what he can do.”
