Bryana Walters
Bryana Walters became a Certified Veterinary Assistant in 2004 and has been working with animals since. She studied rigorously under a top trainer as an intern and became a Certified Dog Trainer holding a CPDT-KA. She has been professionally training animals for 12 years. She attended the University of Washington's psychology department and earned her Applied Animal Behavior Certification. For the past 6 years since graduating, she has been studying forensic animal behavior for legal cases with her professor. She is an expert witness for lawyers. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional because she believes in giving animals experiences that are free of fear, anxiety, stress and frustration. For 2 years, she was an animal sanctuary behaviorist. She designed and implemented a behavior program for the staff, volunteers, and animals. She assessed all dogs and cats coming into the sanctuary for aggression or other behavior issues, provided a written behavior plan for each dog and cat, and worked with staff and volunteers to train the dogs and cats for successful futures with adopters. She also “went home” with many adopters to help with a smooth transition into the home. She has been volunteering with rescue animals for years. Her current volunteer opportunity is helping animals going into homes from shelters, through HART – Humane Alliance of Rescue Trainers.

Customer Reviews
Mikaela Harf: Bryana brings a unique combination of knowledge, attention to detail, and warmth to our training sessions! Thank you for helping our pup!
Sabrina Bonaparte: Bryana is an expert on dog behavior! We have two dogs that came from difficult situations and have some behavioral issues as a result. She has helped us work through so many problems, including aggression towards people in/around our house and dogs chasing our cats. We initially thought one of our dogs was aggressive, but within a few minutes of meeting him, Bryana assured us that he was actually just scared, and that his behavior could easily be modified if we helped him feel more comfortable. We’ve used this knowledge in so many situations and we’ve helped our dog adjust so well. This is just one example where Bryana has worked with us to understand the underlying behaviors behind our dogs’ actions, which has strengthened our relationship with them. Whenever we have a problem, we ask Bryana for help and she’s there to problem solve and educate us. I can’t recommend her enough!
