Customer Reviews

Phillip Brewer - Portland, Oregon
"I have a four year old dog named McLeod with a lot of energy and anxiety...Dr. Valli made sure we understood this was not a quick fix, but that it will take time, patience, and consistency on our part. I am happy to report we have noticed observable changes (and) we are enjoying our dog more and learning a lot...I would recommend Synergy Behavior Solutions to anyone that has dogs with behavioral issues."

Customer Reviews

Shelly Brown, LVT, Companion Veterinary Hospital: Lead Me On kennel is a Diamond in our community. Ursula Pettyjohn is hands down the best trainer I have worked with. She uses positive science based techniques in a low stress environment. She has personally helped me and several of my clients with specific behavioral issues, from curing OCD behaviors to reducing fear aggression. She has an understanding of dog behavior that has come from years of education and experience. Ursula in my personal and professional opinion is the best trainer and educator for the human dog bond in town.

Kim Martin, DVM, Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital: (Ursula’s) facility provides a unique training style that works for so many people and dogs.. Ursula’s education helps so many people and animals live long happy lives together.. (Her) facility gives pet owners a chance to relax while they are away because they know their companions are loved, stimulated, and cared for. Lead Me On is a quality facility that I recommend to my clients.

Paula Sommerville, President, Companion Veterinary Hospital: Ursula’s approach to boarding and training far exceeds that of alternatives in this region. For this reason, Lead Me On is the only such outfit our hospital endorses and recommends on a daily basis.. We witness professionalism and attention to detail that we have not witness at any other facility purporting to provide the same services.

Michael Kiefer, DVM, Olympia Veterinary Hospital: I am a local veterinarian, practicing in Olympia for 43 years.. and recommend Lead Me On to our clients. Lead Me On provides positive science based training which has been very effective in working with dogs and their owners.. Lead Me On is a unique high quality boarding facility in which the enclosures are tailored to provide each dog a low stress environment by offering various degrees of privacy.

Jessica Ceason: Not only does this boarding kennel provide a safe, clean, professional, trusted environment for dogs separated from their owners, it also facilitates education in the movement toward the ethical treatment of animals. Lead Me On sets a very high standard in the boarding and training industry.

Terra: I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am to you and your staff for taking such great care of Luca. She is very happy, seems completely herself and even a little more playful if that’s possible. I can tell that she hit the boarding jackpot with you. She will surely be looking forward to her future stays! She was not like this after previous boardings, so there is definitely a difference…

Sandra Katzen: When I need to leave my dogs, Lead Me On is the place I take them. I have total admiration and respect for the way Ursula cares for the dogs as well as the training she does with them.. Ursula is an exceptional trainer skilled in the latest techniques of positive training and possessing an uncanny ability to understand what each individual dog needs to learn the most easily.

The Fishers: We can’t say enough about our experience with Ursula’s Kennel. From the minute we met all the great people that work here and saw the beautiful grounds that our dog would be enjoying while we were away we knew we had made the right choice in kennels. Even though this kennel is far from our home we feel it is totally worth the hour drive to drop Rudy off and pick him up. Having our pup here really has added to the enjoyment of our vacations by knowing that he was being so wonderfully taken care of and having fun. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful home-away from home for our pup.

Customer Reviews

Diane Bennett: Outstanding program and trainer. Three years ago I adopted a Rottweiler Australian Shepherd mix named Macy. She was three years old and not trained to a leash. She was a lot stronger than I expected her to be and she pulled me down during the winter months. She also was attacked by a smaller dog and it was difficult to break up the fight. It became impossible for me to walk her in my neighborhood due to the number of other dogs, cats, squirrels, etc, I had to find places to walk her away from all distractions. It seemed like fate when I sat next to Sara at the retirement dinner and she gave me her card. When I got back from visiting my family in Virginia, Macy and I started private lessons with Sara. I was amazed at how quickly Macy responded to the training and was able to attend Sara's Focused Fido Class with other dogs. I just came back from walking Macy in my neighborhood where we ran into 4 other dogs, including a poodle mix who barked at her the whole time we passed her yard. Macy stayed focused on me the whole time (other that needing to get in some good sniffs and pees) and no pulling or reacting to the other dogs. Within 6 weeks of training, this is why If I could give Sara even more stars I would.

Katie L.: Sara is an absolutely incredible dog trainer. She runs wonderful training groups and also offers convenient personal training sessions. Sara is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CPT), which essentially means that she is credentialed by the foremost academy of force-free positive reinforcement training. This accreditation is reserved for the best of the best in the dog training arena. If a trainer is effective in training a dog to service dog standard (and understanding ADA law and task training requirements) it is fair to say that they can handle any pet dog that comes their way. Sara is the trainer I chose after contacting upwards of 10 other local trainers, and I do not hesitate to recommend her to any service dog team or pet dog owner in a 50 mile radius of Haslett, Michigan.

Shari C.: Sara, was patient, broke things down for me, explained when I asked WHY? Also appreciated the homework assignments..wish we could work together every week!!

McCollums: I can't say enough great things about Sara!! She took my hysterical phone call on a Saturday, not knowing me, and stayed on the phone for almost an hour calming me down after my rescue dog bit my friend. :( I was worried that we wouldn't be able to keep him...she came to our house to help us help him and he is a completely different dog! Charlie has grown so much with her help and so have we. She gave us the tools to train him and know the warning signs when he is anxious. We LOVE her for helping us turn him around! Thanks for everything!!

Nicole Mahmood: Sarah did great with my boxer/bulldog mix. She is always hesitant towards strangers, but warmed up to Sarah and was always very excited when time for our sessions would come. We had private training sessions so she came right to my apartment and provided a clicker and treat bag, as well as weekly using her own treats for training. I enlisted Sarah's help in dealing with my dog's reactivity towards other dogs, and through our training sessions she is finally on the road to being calm when in the presence of other dogs. She was also considerate of my varying schedule as a college student, and made this aspect a lot easier on me as well. I would definitely recommend Sarah to anyone that is looking for help with reactivity issues.

Jason Smith: Sara is so kind with our dog! He was very nervous the first time she came out to our house but with her patience with him he eventually warmed up. With her encouragement we have been able to learn several skills that had been hard to master. Our dog can now greet people calmly at the door and walks like a gentleman on a leash! I would recommend Sara to anyone looking to have a well trained dog.

Jay Sarkar: Sara was fantastic to work with. My two year old English Springer was a little too energetic and jumpy but after 4 sessions with Sara we have turned her into quite the obedient dog. I had private training done so Sara came right to my home, worked for about an hour each week and provided me with necessary equipment. (clicker, treat pouch) I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for have their furry friend learn a few lessons in a warm and welcoming manner.

Rhonda Burke: Honest and reliable. Would definitely recommend Sara. Great with dogs!!! Her knowledge and expertise is beyond what I expected.

Customer Reviews

“We loved puppy class!
Everything improved after taking classes with Micaela!” Karen H.

“I can’t say enough good things about my experiences working with At Your Service Dogs. We partnered to train my rescue dog in a “shelter to service” program. This meant working with both of us from assessment to the day my boy accompanied me to work for the first time, more than two years ago now. We continue to consult on an ‘as needed’ basis to take advantage of Micaela’s expertise.
Micaela’s patience, knowledge, guidance and love (yes, love) supported us in successful training. I was given clear ‘homework’ assignments and written notes from each session. I still refer to these today! Dog training is not for the faint of heart. It takes hundreds of hours, with and without a trainer. Having someone we could rely on to direct and inform each stage of our training was invaluable.
The commitment of a great trainer inspires us. This was my experience. I became a better, more knowledgeable and consistent trainer myself. My dog is my constant companion, and I can be secure in the fact that his training gives us the foundation to go places and do things together. The freedom and confidence I have personally experienced as a result of working with At Your Service Dogs has changed my life. Everywhere I go my dog is admired for his well-behaved countenance and polite demeanor. I owe the relationship and opportunities I have with my service dog to Micaela. Our partnership is a reflection of her knowledge, vision, dedication and professionalism. ”
~Mindy & Valor

“Micaela has been providing weekday visits and training sessions for my dog, Louie, over past 2 1/2 years, and she's one of the best things that has happened in both his life and mine. Not only does she have extensive training and behavior knowledge and experience, but she is also an absolute joy to work with and such a lovely person.
Micaela is passionate about what she does, caring for and connecting with each pup she meets. She has a remarkable gift for understanding how to achieve training goals through choice. Seeing Louie happily deciding on favorable behaviors is a beautiful thing. I have a busy life and it reassures my heart and mind to know that Louie’s day is being made brighter and safer because of his time with her. Without hesitation, I'd recommend her canine services for any training, daytime walking, boarding, or consultation needs. You're lucky to have discovered the gem that Micaela is.”
~ Leslie & Louie

“3 years ago, I adopted a rescue puppy. It was after lots of thought and planning of the responsibility. I knew that I had to find a trainer that would help me achieve the partnership and companionship that I wanted with my dog. Micaela was more than happy to work with me even when she saw my 3 page typed goals for me and my pup.
Looking back now, I can't imagine my pup and I having such an amazing partnership without the care, professional, commitment and love that Micaela provided and continues to provide to Benten and I.
I highly recommend Micaela to anyone who is bringing a pup into the family or if you have an existing pup (or people) who would benefit from training. She will be there to help you achieve your goals. ”
~ Michelle & Benten

Micaela and her team at At Your Service Dogs are an excellent resource for new puppy parents! She's helped us with early training methods for our extra “spicy” lab puppy Walter, and we've seen a tremendous improvement following in-home training sessions with her, boarding, long daytime walks and a super fun puppy Kindergarten class. Micaela has been so patient with Walter, and made us feel extra comfortable when he was acting up in class (I like to say he was the class clown :)). To say her team is invaluable is an understatement, and I highly recommend her services and classes for dog parents looking for a trustworthy, kind, helpful training resource!
-Jessica, Michael & Sir Walter

“We've been so lucky to have Micaela board/care for our dogs in her home when we travel for over the last 4 years. Having the piece of mind that they are well cared for in a safe, comfortable place is priceless. They return happy and healthy as if they have had a vacation of their own! I can’t say enough about how wonderful Micaela is and highly recommend her. ”

Customer Reviews
My biggest concern when searching for pet care is whether or not I can trust them to care for my furry family member. Rarely do I feel they will care as much as I do. Most often I rely on reviews to make sure a pet has not been mistreated. That is not the case with Diamond Dogs! This business cares about your pet. The owner puts her heart into this business because she loves pets as much as you do. You can trust that when your pup is with Diamond Dogs, they are in the best hands possible!

  • “Instinct completely changed my relationship with my dog (for the better). The stress I experienced before during walks and when meeting new people is gone, and I can spend more time now enjoying my time with Benny. I would recommend Instinct to anyone seeking positive reinforcement training for their dog.”

  • “After 30 years of having dogs in our lives and going to many group dog training sessions, our first three sessions with Stephanie at Instinct taught us so much more. It really felt like our dog got a coach and we got a professor of dog training. The follow-up has been superb, the videos and handouts really helped. Our dog Bruce came to us with very little training and at 70 lbs we needed help. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough. She has given us a lifetime of knowledge and now, we get to practice it with our dog Bruce.””

  • “I can’t say enough good things about my trainer, Claire, and Instinct Dog Training. My sessions with Claire were awesome, giving me the skills to get off to a great start with my first puppy. Claire game me great advice and problem solving, and followed it up with email to review everything we had covered. She went above and beyond to be sure I had the support I needed. I also took some free alumni online group classes that were also very helpful. My puppy, Cooper, is doing great.”

  • “I just completed a program with Kaysha and wow, what an amazing experience! I was overwhelmed after rescuing a very fearful doggie – I didn’t know where to start or how to get through to her. First off, I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently I was able to start training sessions with Instinct. Given the covid dog boom, I thought I’d have to wait weeks or months, but just a few days after reaching out I was able to schedule a session with Kaysha. Not only is Kaysha an incredible trainer, but she always met my dog where she was, treated her with the utmost love and care, and was incredibly patient. Not only did she help me train my dog, but she taught me how to do the training myself. She’s an amazing teacher! Instinct also sets up a Trello board for each client, so I was able to talk to Kaysha and ask questions in between sessions, which was hugely helpful. I can’t thank Instinct and Kaysha enough – my dog is a completely different doggie from when we first started. I truly can’t believe how much we’ve learned and the progress we’ve made!”

“Instinct completely changed my relationship with my dog (for the better). The stress I experienced before during walks and when meeting new people is gone, and I can spend more time now enjoying my time with Benny. I would recommend Instinct to anyone seeking positive reinforcement training for their dog.”

“After 30 years of having dogs in our lives and going to many group dog training sessions, our first three sessions with Stephanie at Instinct taught us so much more. It really felt like our dog got a coach and we got a professor of dog training. The follow-up has been superb, the videos and handouts really helped. Our dog Bruce came to us with very little training and at 70 lbs we needed help. I cannot recommend Stephanie enough. She has given us a lifetime of knowledge and now, we get to practice it with our dog Bruce.”

“I can’t say enough good things about my trainer, Claire, and Instinct Dog Training.

“I just completed a program with Kaysha and wow, what an amazing experience!

Customer Reviews

  • -Sallie & Strider: Jess has been working with me and our White Swiss Shepherd puppy for over a year now. He has presented real challenges with leash reactivity and awkward canine social skills. Jess has been invaluable in helping me understand how to move him forward with reward-based methods that bring about real change. She pairs him with appropriate dogs from her client base to learn better social skills, and there is always a sense of safety and well-managed interaction. In addition, she has trained him and coached me on bringing him to spatial body awareness that is precursor to many advanced skills. Our pup is bright and willing to learn, and he always comes back to us after BNT's or day stays with new skills he's eager to develop. The thing I most appreciate about Jess, however, is her lovely perception of people skills, factoring in the human end of the equation as the make or break in a dog's success. She assesses handler capability very well, and teaches—kindly and without judgment—to whatever level she finds. Jess has been encouraging, thoughtful and inventive with our unexpectedly challenging puppy, and we are so grateful that we came across her one evening in the neighborhood with a long line in her hand. “Training a dog?” I asked. “Well, I'm a trainer, “ she replied. The rest is a very positive history.
  • -Kronda & Obi: Jess is a dog mom's dream. We have a high energy, sensitive 3 year old Vizsla who has struggled being thrown in with a bunch of other dogs when we've left him with friends while traveling. We found Jess through Dog Adventures NW and booked a board and train with her while we went away for my 50th birthday. It was everything we could have asked her and more. Jess is a super nerd when it comes to dog training and highly skilled at managing and training all types of dogs. We felt completely comfortable that Obi would not be put into situations that were overly stressful. Jess truly treats every dog in her care like her own. Each day we were away, we got multiple photos and videos of Obi's adventures and training via a shared Google Drive so we knew exactly what he was up to. If there was any doubt that he had the time of his life, when we came to pick him up, he was happy to see us, but when playtime was over, he headed to the back door of Jess's house, ready for dinner! Obi can't wait to go see Jess again and you can feel comfortable that your fur baby is in excellent hands with her.

Her experience in raising her own two Siberian Huskies with challenging behavior issues has provided her with a unique skill set for working with complex behavior cases, particularly centered around dog reactivity, vet phobia, and aggression. Brie has expanded her knowledge base by attending Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course and studying cooperative care training with Laura Monaco Torrelli. She continues to enhance her skills by attending up-to-date conferences on canine behavior taught by leading experts in animal behavior. While Brie received her professional certification in 2017, she attributes her skill to a lifetime of working with and training animals. As a child, she raised her family’s standard poodles, rats, and parrots, devoting her free time to training them to perform various behaviors. Her early experience in training western horses to perform Dressage/Hunter Jumper at the age of 12 provided her with valuable insights into the role of human body language, handling, and the relationship with animals in shaping behavior outcomes. Brie’s background as a public speaker and educator has equipped her with a unique ability to identify subtle adjustments that can enhance the lives of both humans and canines. She is deeply passionate about breaking down challenging concepts and methodologies into practical everyday use.
